Is praying enough to get closer to God? || MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

Calvary Greetings!

One thing about prayers is that it takes action for it to be answered. A prayer without action is like chasing a shadow. One needs to take steps after prayer as things we asked for would not come down from the sky to manifest on the surface earth itself.

In the book of Matthew in the Holy scripture, the bible, we were asked to, “ ask, seek and knock.”

What these three verbs mean is that action needs to be taken for our prayers to be answered and according to Bro. Eli teaches, it's very pertinent for us to take action after our prayers as we can just be in the comfort of our rooms and expect our prayer to be answered.

What i see in this is that, there's no way we can receive answer to our prayers without us not working towards the prayer and that's why according to the book of Matthew 7:7, we are being asked to asked God what we want in our prayers, but after then, we must seek and while seeking, we move out to seek for money, good job and opportunities that would make our prayers to become a reality.

In conclusion, we must not just pray, but we must act. It's the action that would prompt our prayers to be answered. I have seen some people praying without taking action. This set of people may not receive the prompt answers to their prayers as they have refused to take the necessary action.

Thanks for reading.
