When we read the Bible, we are helped by the power of God to understand it. We must understand what we are studying before we will be able to follow the instructions of God. Understanding the Bible is very important. We are under a commandment from God to obey His commandments. The laws of God must be kept by us. If we do not keep the laws of God, then we are disobedient. And we should not be disobedient if we want to receive the blessings of God. I must believe that you desire to earn the blessings from God. Or do you want Him to curse you? I believe that is not your choice. You need the blessings from God, so we must know what His commandments are according to the Bible and obey them.
How to understand the Bible is that we should read the Bible always. God told us to read his laws everyday. He said we should meditate on the commandments day and night. So, we must read the Bible everyday. We must commit ourselves to studying the Word of God. The more we read the Bible, the clearer the concepts there will be for us.
We should allow the Holy Spirit to teach us the Word of God. We should not use human reasoning to interpret the Bible. We should not interpret the Bible according to scientific recovery. The Bible is bigger than science. The Word of God is higher than philosophy. So, let the Holy Spirit be your teacher if you really want to understand the Bible.
