God has loved us from the very beginning. It is out of a heart full of love that He created. He wanted to behold us in love. There was nothing in the plan of God that we should be far from him. The purpose of God creating us as humans in his likeness was so that we could have fellowship with Him. God had always wanted us to be near to Him. He never intended it in any way that we should be far from him. It was because he wanted to have a family, that is why he created us.
Why are we far from God? If you feel far from God, what is the cause? The cause of separation from God is sin. It is our sin that makes us far from God. God is not far from us himself, we are the ones who have taken a route that is far from God. We are the ones who allow the devil to put a gulf between us and God. The gulf of separation which veils us from God is sin. There is no other problem about our relationship with God. It is our sins that make us far from God.
Returning back to the path of righteousness will amend our relationship with God. It will bring us in good relationship with God. If anyone is having this feeling that God is far from him or her, let him or her repent from his or her sins and obey the commandments of God. Those who obey the commandments of God are those that God tabernacles with them.
