Christian Life — A Prayerful Life | The Old Path
As Christians there are certain things we observe that are associated with our lifestyles, one of them is prayers. It should be a natural thing for Christians to pray. If we fail to pray we miss out of a lot of things. Just as communities or societies have their cultures, we also have our culture and it involves prayers.
Timothy 2:1 - I exhort therefore that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men
2.For kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and
honesty.
3.For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.
We pray according to the will of God and not according to our own will. There may be some certain kind of prayers we may not feel like observing but if it is what God desires us to do we just have to make that prayer. There are prayers we make for people that affects us, this is why we should not think all about ourselves when praying but include others as well.
Matthew 5:44 - But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you and
persecute you.
If all we think of is repaying evil for evil or cursing those who curse us then we are getting it wrong. We should be able to accommodate our enemies in our prayers as well. This may seem ridiculous but that is what God expects that we do.
The christian life is a life of prayers
As christians we should pray always
A prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian
