Is watching movies a sin? | The Old Path
Movies are very influential more than we can ever think. What we take in, like the things we hear and see can affect us as persons. We don't open our eyes or ears to anything. It's important to be selective of the kind of movies that we exposure our eyes and ears to. They have a way of affecting our minds and how we think.
The enemy uses various means to influence of negatively and majority of the ways are by what we see and hear. If the kind of message that a movie is trying to pass across contradicts our morals and beliefs, then it is not advisable to engage in it.
1 John 2:15 - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
There are things that edify our spirits, we should be more concerned of those things rather than the things of the world. If all that we watch are only things that would make us develop interests for the things of the world and make us lose interest in the things of God's kingdom we are making a serious mistake. We should be more interested in things that help us grow as Christians.

We have to be mindful of the kind of movies we watch because, they can lead someone astray.
