We are not all serving the same God. We are not all doing service to the same God. My God is different from yours except we are having the same beliefs. If our beliefs are different, then we are not serving the same God. If we were serving the same God, we won't have diversities in what we believe. Our mode of worship and our beliefs should have been the same. But now, evidently our mode of worship and our beliefs are not the same, they are different.
The person who worships the moon is different from the one who worships a snake. The one who worships a tree is different from the one who worships a stone. All these are different gods which people worship. But we do know that it is only one God who is the true God.
There is a god who permits his worshippers to commit havoc. These people can kill, they can do anything sinful and won't take it to be a big deal. Their god permits them to commit sin at will. Some people can look for diabolical means to help themselves because their god permits them to do so. That is one kind of God.
There is another God who is too holy to behold iniquity. He cannot condone sin. He is a jealous God. You cannot bow to another God besides him. He hates murder. He hates fornication and adultery. He hates stealing. He is a god who will punish sinners. That is the God who created the heavens and the earth. He is a Holy God.
I usually tell people this that we don't always serve the same God. I believe it is a wrong misconceptions in the heart of a whole lot of people which I strongly believe needs to be corrected
