We should pray. We should commit all our ways to God. We should trust God in our lives totally. We must know that without God we cannot do anything on our own. We need the help of God in everything that we are doing. We should not think that we are sufficient for ourselves on our own. Our sufficiency can only come from God. So, let us not be weary to pray.
We should also know that we are not to be lazy. The Bible forbids laziness. We are admonished to work. The word of God says that those who are not working should start working so that they could have to give to those who are in need. The christian life is not that of laziness. We are to work. God had designed from the very beginning that we should work. Working is the way for a person to gain success.
To pray without working is like clearing the land without planting anything on it. That won't bring any fruits. It is what we sow that we can reap. We should not not think that we will have our purpose or goal achieved without working it out. Prayers clear the ground for us. But we must work. The work is the planting process. When you work, you will reap the fruits of your work.
Have we not remembered that God is going to reward our works? We receive the rewards of what we do. It is not only prayer that gives us rewards. It is the work that really brings the rewards. So, we must work when we pray so that our faith will be effective.
