It's impossible to not get angry if someone hurts you, because it's in our nature and instinct as human beings to response to anger after we are offended.
There are also certain people with temper issues, who can't control their anger.
As Christians the Bible made us to understand that, our reaction when we get hurt shouldn't be anger, we ought to be happy because it's an opportunity that's given to you to forgive, you ought to forgive as a Christian.
As a believer when you forgive, you have given God an opportunity to forgive you of your sins, forgiving is for your benefit. When you forgive God forgives you.
If you don't forgive, God will not forgive you . Forgiveness gives God an opportunity to forgive you.
If you show mercy, God will also show mercy on you, if you forgive he will also forgive you. That's how God reacts to our actions.
By forgiving, you are giving him an opportunity to also forgive you.
Believers need to learn how to forgive, so that they would be forgiven by God, because we are all sinners in the sight of God.
Everyone commits sin including the most holy man on earth, it's only Jesus that didn't sin on earth. No man is sinless.
