It is true that eating pork is an abomination among the Israelites but we have to consider the time element. When the time of the Lord Jesus Christ came, he pronounced something that will cleanse every living thing and it was learned by the apostle Paul.
I Timothy 4:4 “For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.” For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer every creature of God is good and nothing to be refused. So the original commandments given to Adam, to Eve, to Noah and his family, stood as the truth from Adam to Noah then temporarily when Israel was chosen by God.
We must remember that the Israelites lived 430 years in Egypt without the law of God, they were used to eating the very same food that the Egyptians eat. Egyptians like pork; they eat whatever food because they do not have any law from God, and the Israelites dwell with them for 430 years.
So it is very much evident that the Israelites have eaten all those foods that were eaten by the Egyptians but when they were liberated from the hand of Pharaoh, upon reaching the holy land there were prohibitions that were pronounced by God concerning what they could eat and what they should not eat and one of them is not eating pork or the flesh of swine.
But according to the analysis of the apostles Paul, the imposition of such carnal ordinance is only temporal imposed on them until the time of reformation and what is the time of reformation when the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ came, the Lord Jesus Christ cleansed those which are regarded as abomination in the time of the Israelites and the apostles Paul when he was preaching the teachings of the Lord.
Jesus Christ said, every creature of the Lord is good and nothing is to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving.
So in conclusion, the time of Moses was over, the law of Moses was over. Justification will not come from the law of Moses. It is from the Lord Jesus Christ that justification will come. So as a Christian, the law of Jesus Christ is not against the eating of pork meat.
Thanks for reading.
For me I don't really think there is actually anything bad in eating pork though
