According to Bro. Eli, only God has the power to control man’s fate because He is the true architect of our lives. Without Him, we are nothing. For God to take control of our lives, we must willingly surrender ourselves to Him. When we do so, He directs our destiny; but if we refuse, we open the door for the devil to take advantage of us.
As believers, we must surrender our lives completely to God, for He alone can guide our steps in this wicked world. In Jeremiah 10:23, it is written:
“O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.”
This verse reminds us that man cannot successfully walk his path without God. Only God can truly direct our steps. Therefore, as believers, we must allow Him to guide us daily, for without Him, we can do nothing on our own.
In II Thessalonians 2:11-12, the Bible says:
“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
This scripture teaches that those who reject the truth and choose to believe lies will be led astray. It is a warning for believers to remain steadfast in God’s truth and to let Him take control of our fate rather than following the deceit of the world.
As Proverbs 16:9 declares:
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”
We may plan our lives and make decisions, but ultimately, it is the Lord who determines our path.
Let us, therefore, walk in God’s way, trust in His guidance, and allow Him to shape our destiny.
