Hello, lovely family, I welcome you to my blog once again. I believe that, with His undying love, we are as fit as fettles. I am very blessed as well. Today is another beautiful day and a day to learn something new. I was once again privileged to listen to the unadulterated word of God from His loyal servant, Brother Eli. This time round on what the Bible has to say concerning close relative marriage unions. As usual, I picked something new from these particular teachings and would like to share my reflections on it with you in the next few paragraphs. I do believe strongly that you might as well pick something new from this post too.

Marrying one's own siblings comes with lots of adverse effects, both spiritual and physical. According to research conducted by some well-recognized institutions, childbirth between two close relatives can result in severe childbirth defects. It is very much possible that the child will be born with certain defects. This research was conducted in the Parkistannian society. The study was done on 13,500 newly born babies in Bradford. It was concluded that marriage between first cousins doubles the risk of birth defects. This happens to be the bigger factor than any other factor that could cause child defects and abnormalities. Marrying a cousin accounts for nearly 13% of all babies of Parkistani's origin being defective in various aspects of their lives.

These defects could be mental, physical, or social, and 31% of babies born from blood relatives are expected to end up like that. That was the finding of the sciences, and I guess that is very true. Now that we have seen the negative impact of blood related marriage through scientific research, let's take a look at what the Bible also has to say about this. Let us read from the book of Leviticus (18:6-18)

Leviticus 18:7
KING JAMES VERSION
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

Leviticus 18:8
KING JAMES VERSION
The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

Leviticus 18:9
KING JAMES VERSION
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

Leviticus 18:10
KING JAMES VERSION
The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.

Leviticus 18:11
KING JAMES VERSION
The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

Leviticus 18:12
KING JAMES VERSION
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.

Leviticus 18:13
KING JAMES VERSION
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.

Leviticus 18:14
KING JAMES VERSION
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife:
she is thine aunt.

Leviticus 18:15
KING JAMES VERSION
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

Leviticus 18:16
KING JAMES VERSION
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.

Leviticus 18:17
KING JAMES VERSION
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.

Leviticus 18:18
KING JAMES VERSION
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.

Just from the scriptures we just read above, it is very clear that it is very much prohibited to have a sexual relationship with our close relatives or blood. God frowns upon it, and that can be seen clearly in the Bible verses we just read above. This means having to marry one of our kin will not end well.
No wonder science has proven this in their research. Children born in these instances will be deprived of full human capabilities. They might end up being defective kids. This shows that the word of God is final. Whatever He says is true and amen.

This is why we must strive very hard to accept this commandment and stay away from any sexually related relationship between our blood. This will save us from the wrath of God and also prevent the reproduction of abnormal kids. Thank you for staying with me all this time. Stay safe. God bless you.
