Mass Indoctrination - Day 13

in MCGI Cares Hive5 months ago

I believe we are all doing very well. I made time to join the mass indoctrination program held on Zoom just this past Wednesday, and as usual, I was very blessed with the wisdom poured upon us by our own brother, Eli. It was an eye-opening one for me during this particular section of mass indoctrination. He opened up about many doctrines that were totally new to me. I was enlightened and would like to share my take from this program with you.

As the saying goes, sharing is caring. So come with me as I take you through the little lessons I took from the holy gathering of the saints in the next few paragraphs.

There are two major groups of sinful groups that the Bible places emphasis on. These two categories are sin by actions and sin by words or saying. These two will be further broken down. Although there are so many sins that are very much frowned upon in the Bible, these five I am about to list under the two major categories we know are abominable and bring curses upon us. Some defil our souls and are ways of selling our souls to the devil. Let's take a look at these two categories and how these five major sins are grouped under each category.

Sin through acts;

  1. eating or consuming food that was an offering to the gods or idols. (1 Corinthians 8:1-13, 10:19-21)
  2. Eating or consuming blood or food prepared with it.(Leviticus 17:10-12)
  3. Eating animals strangled to death(Acts 15:29)
  4. Fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18 )

Through words;

  1. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
    All these sins are very abominable and draw a person away from the Almighty God.

Talking of tgd first on the list which is the consumption of food offered to idols. This is an abominable act. In the first place, the Bible tells us clearly not to worship any other gods except Him. This is clearly stated in the Book of Exodus 20:4–5, and I read: Exodus 20:4–5 from the Bible states: "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God."

This brings us to the question what is an idol?

An idol is typically a physical representation or image that is worshipped or revered as a symbol of a deity, person, or idea. In religious contexts, idols are often associated with the worship of gods or spiritual entities. The concept of idolatry is commonly condemned in various religious traditions that emphasize the worship of a singular, formless, or transcendent deity. It is seen as a deviation from the proper worship of the divine.

This means anything we give reference to other than the Maker is an idol. There are people whose idols are made of stones, gold, silver, wood, clay, etc. These are basically mere things that were used by man to craft something randomly, but mostly in the image of an animal, dwarfs, and horrifying-looking creatures. The Bible tells us that anything we give reference to other than the Almighty God is an act of idolatry. So worshipping any creed other than the Creator is a form of idolatry. The Bible tells us not to worship idols, and that means we need not to get involved in anything that has been linked to any idol. That simply means their food too. As far as the food has been offered to any other god, then it is not wholesome for Christian consumption anymore. This is why Shadrach, Mechach, and Abednego refused to eat the meat offered to the idols in Babylon.

Fornication is another sin very much frowned upon by God. It makes an individual unclean before God. The Bible says our bodies are the temple of God. So if we keep ourselves unclean, then we are trying to drive God away because God is holy and therefore cannot dwell in an unholy, unclean, and dirty place. That is why it is very good to stay away from fornication. It is one of the abominable sins that distances us from God and from His love.

Finally, blasphemy: this simply means making comments or speaking against the Holy Spirit. It is one of the highest degrees of sin that a person could commit. You can sin against the Father and the Son, but not against the Holy Spirit. This sin is an unforgivable one. I pray I never did and never should, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.

In the Bible, blasphemy is generally considered a serious offense. In the Old Testament, blasphemy is condemned, and there are specific laws against it. For example, Leviticus 24:16 (ESV) states: "Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him. The sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death."

Blasphemy was also addressed in the New Testament, particularly in the context of speaking against the Holy Spirit. In Matthew 12:31-32), Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven."

Overall, blasphemy in biblical terms is a serious violation of reverence toward God or the sacred, and consequences are often portrayed as severe and usually unforgivable by the Holy Spirit.

Here I bring to an end a take of mine from the recent mass indoctrination program held on zoom. See you in the next section. Use this Link to join us in the next section. Thank You
