The desire to hear God's word is from God himself. And what Satan will do is to raise people against you so as to cause you go back
Two things exit in the word both good and bad.
Acts 13:7-8 KJV
Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. [8] But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
Because there ones desire to hear God's word, people came against them. Satan will always bring people up to go against us, it can be your father, mother, even your spouse.
Matthew 13:3-8 KJV
And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; [4] And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: [5] Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: [6] And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. [7] And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: [8] But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Seeds that fell on good ground yielded well, on stony ground, on thones, and by the way didn't do well. Any word of God on the good ground will bring forth good fruit.
Luke 8:11-16 KJV
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. [12] Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. [13] They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. [14] And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. [15] But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
1 Peter 5:8 KJV
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
We must examine ourselves, do will easily forget God's word? If so it might be an oppression of the devil.
The one that fell on the rock, will not have much root. If the heart of a man is a rocky place the heart of that person will not be able to retain God's word.
Those that fell among thorns, are always shocked up by cares of this world, anxiety and lot more. The heart of thorns will shock God's word.
The good ground is the one that receives God's word and flourish and bring much fruit. Thorns will always shock God's word while the good ground will hear God's word keep it and grow in it, then bring much fruit.
We must examine ourselves, are we have a heart of stone, or by the way side, thorns or good ground.
There are four kind of men on the world
- Rocky heart 2. Wayside, 3. Thorns and 4. Good ground. Where do you belong. A stony heart can have a deep root of God's word. A heart of thorns will always shock God's word with anxiety.

Ezekiel 36:26-28 KJV
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. [27] And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. [28] And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Guinness book of record gave an account of longest surviving heart transplant survival. Despite that God's is not talking about a physical heart. God is talking about our heart that receives God's word. No matter how chattered our heart may be, God is welling to heal us all. Bro Eli's gave an example of how God recurse His heart. And how different teacher wanted him to be divers things even a professor. The testimony of Bro Eli shows how brilliant he is 99%. He is always ahead of his mate. He was able to teach although he wasnt a teacher. He substitute for his teachers when there are not around.
His ambition change, when he started learning the doctrine of God and learning about human. There are men who have ambition they have a storny heart. We all have hope because God want us to be save.
1 Timothy 2:4 KJV
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
God's word will most time change human ambition in life.

Whatever the kind of heart a man has, God is powerful to change all of us. It is the will of God that all men be saved.

Despite all that he did, God saved him. Paul was a very dangerous person. And yet God saved him, despite how much he prosecuted the people of God. If God can change Paul then he is willing to save us.
1 Corinthians 6:9 KJV
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
No one will inherit the kingdom of God without entering in to the life of Christ. We must be washed, justify, sanctified by the blood of the lamb. We must always listening to God's word.
