RE: My new Astrophytum myriostigma :-(((

This is not the only sick cactus that I bought from a plant nursery ....
I told the owners about this, but they kept silent.
They changed my cactus only 1 time, when I showed them a photo the next day from the purchase.
Another difficulty is that the cost of gasoline (nursery in another city) will cost me more than the cactus itself :-(((( + time.

The owners are not ashamed!
They supply diseased plants to stores knowing this!
It happens that the flowers of their plants are full of trips, with dry rot ...
How can such plants be delivered to shops ???? !!!!!

You should stop buying from that place then and tell your friends about it.

They will supply shops as long as the shops will sell their plants. A lot of people don't know how a sick cactus looks like, or if white fluff is a bug or mealybug.
Many people buy painted plants thinking it is their colour. Or with glued/pinned dry flowers also thinking it is the real flower.
As long as there are customers - they have no reason to be more careful.

Unfortunately, I cannot refuse this cattery ...
There are very few of them in Cyprus.
They will always have buyers.
And the shops will not refuse them.
This is the situation here .... :-((
And plant nurseries are not checked :-((
In Russia, it would have been closed long ago, after the very first check.
