Jerk Chicken Kebobs + New Beres & Popcaan Jahm!

Happy Birthday HIVE! It seems like it was yesterday and also seems like it was 5 years ago! Just got back from a little BBQ setting at a friends house and thought I’d push out some content. Surprisingly I didn’t drink today, kinda getting tired of the spirits.

We got invited last night and there wasn’t enough time to season up some jerk and you know jerk needs at least a 10-24hr to chill and get that flavor 😋.

On the way to the bbq we bought some chicken and I brought the seasoning and figured I’d just slap 👋 some on and let it sit but the grill was looking lonely with all that Japanese style meat.

But then I got an idea 💡 a simple idea but one that would give the chicken flavor, cook faster and be easier to eat.

Jerk Chicken Kebobs

Luckily the lady of the house has skewers and passed them to me as I was cutting up some 🧅 and some ginger. After I slapped on some jerk seasoning and mixed it up and put them oh so delicately on the skewers.

My youngest son was looking through the glass at the grilling taking place. No doubt he wanted to come outside and be with pops AND get some of that chicken. Sorry son, this one is a bit too spicy for yah. Well the honest truth is I’d actually give him at this age ( He’s one) but my wife would fuss all day if he started crying and scratching his tongue 👅. Hmmm but it wasn’t that spicy though! Maybe next time son.

The jerk Kebobs came out really good and coked fast. A nice business could be made from these here in Japan “Jerk Yakitori”, I’ve said it for years. A mobile food truck serving yakitori “grilled chicken on a stick / chicken Kebobs). Big 🇯🇲 flag on the side of the truck and of course have the regular flavors, salted and the sweet sauce for the peeps who want the regular stuff and red stripe beer and a table or two to sit and chill. Summer, hit the beaches, winter hit the malls, fall and spring find the events.

These Kebobs could easily sell for:

• ¥300 for one.
• ¥500 for two.
• ¥600 for three.

Instead of the food truck, if one were to build a 🏠 they could make a minnie grill shack to make the jerk yakitori and only sell them in the evenings to the grab and go after work crowd from 4:00 pm ~ 9:30 pm giving you free time in the day to work a job, create content or trade some crypto.

Yeah just spitting out ideas 💡, but who knows, it might be something I actually do.

Yeah bredda ! I hear you. I saw a truck on the highway stacked with chickens and it was a disgusting site. Made me think of the vegan life.

When we didn't prepare the meat on time, we just put some rum in to let it soak in the ingredients faster. And I know what you mean, not all social events need to be a drinking one.

Nice! And we were just talking about jerk BBQ a few days ago. A food truck would be good business, but it would be hard work as well to run it.
Lol, teach them about spicy food at an early age, so they can tolerate it later. But don't get in trouble with the wife. 😂

Yeah !!! Way too much work, but one could train a uni student to work part time and pay ¥900 a hour. But yeah it's some work.
Next time for sure. The little one knows I always send on the good food! 😆
