Your co-worker sounds very Cambodian. @Sreypov, my wife, shares the same name as your co-worker. The pronunciation is difficult, but generally spelled Pov in English. "Srey" means female, and "Pov" means youngest offspring. So, while you're digesting that, just imagine if your Mom names you Pov and then decides to have another kid a few years later, your name no longer makes sense. I know many Povs in Cambodia that aren't actually the youngest child.
