Tonight I want to talk about a music artist called Diel. His music is very catchy and his career is on the rise, but before his solo career launched his involvement in music was extensive and filled with success.
He started a gospel ministry group with 4 other members while attending the Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville Jamaica. During the 5 year existence of "Adiel Thomas and the Ministry" as the band was called, they toured the United States of America and released a 12 single album in 2015 called "College Days". Unfortunately, due to opposing interests and geographical separation they soon after split. What seemed like a promising rise to glory, faded like a falling star.
Diel himself read the writing on the wall and accepted he had to move on but he did not leave the music scene completely. He continued teaching music at Manchester high school a place where he is widely known for directing the high school choir toward a win on the popular TV show TVJ All Together Sing in 2012.
Once he saved enough money from teaching he re-launched his music career as a solo artist and is doing pretty well. He has shed the gospel label but maintains the positive content in his music focusing on love as his main theme while blending Reggae and R&B.
He went on to become a finalist in Digicel Rising Stars. A huge platform for emerging musicians aired on national television station TVJ. I had the pleasure of work on the set of his single "Too Young" about a man who is in love with a girl a bit older than him. Watch and see how he wins her over.
When you watch the video you will realize the song and beat are very catchy and he has the vibrant style to go along with it. A little tidbit. This video was actually shot at the Hope Zoo. Believe me when I tell you, hearing a lion roar at night is what nightmares are made of. Here are some behind the scenes stills and video.

I remember this song but I did not know his story. First time hearing the second tune though, it sound good man.
