It’s also Black History Month and two members from my family celebrate their birthdays around this time.

Almost everywhere we've been, Valentine's celebrated, but we don't really participate as we see how commercialized it's become. We like to spontaneously do something special together all through the year.
In Suriname it could be anything, from chocolate, sweets, stuffed animals, jewels or bags, etc.
I love that kind is celebration - showing love through the year. 😃
