Greetings to everyone in the Travel Feed community! Today I'm joining today to share with you a new travel review. This time I wanted to bring a memory of a year ago, when during my visit to Las Vegas, I visited with my sister what is Freemont Street. One of the most famous streets in Las Vegas. It was the first time I visited the place and I had quite a lot of expectations about it because this area of Nevada, where it is known was (or is) part of the famous old city of Las Vegas, was always talked about. Therefore one of the oldest areas of the state and with a lot of history behind it (such as the legalization of gambling). Currently it functions as a pedestrian walkway where you can find many souvenir stores, street artists, restaurants, pubs and lots of entertainment here and there. I hope you enjoy the tour.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Travel Feed! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva reseña viajera. En esta oportunidad quise traer un recuerdo de hace un año, cuando durante mi visita a Las Vegas, visité junto a mi hermana lo que es la calle Freemont. Una de las calles más famosas de Las Vegas. Fue la primera vez que visité el lugar y tenía bastante expectativas al respecto pues siempre se hablaba de esta zona de Nevada, dónde se conoce fue (o es) parte de la conocida vieja ciudad de Las Vegas. Por lo tanto una de las zonas más antiguas del estado y con mucha historia detrás (cómo la legalización de los juegos). Actualmente funciona cómo un paso peatonal dónde se pueden encontrar muchas tiendas de regalos (souvenirs), artistas callejeros, restaurantes, pubs y mucho entretenimiento por aquí y por allá. Espero disfruten el recorrido.
I remember that the day we went, it was a weekend and since we were close to the holiday season, many people (locals and tourists) were visiting the street. There were a lot of people around so you had to walk carefully. That day we also enjoyed a concert by a local band (I don't really remember the name), I was able to find a food place I wanted to visit later (Heart Attack Grill), bought some gifts and learned that in January a band I really like, Skid Row, would be playing at the Nugget Hotel. Unfortunately I was unable to attend for personal reasons. However, I think I was really looking forward to walking down those streets, where at one point the band U2 was filming the music video for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". And that same year they performed at the "Sphere".
Recuerdo que ese día en el que fuimos, era un fin de semana y como además estábamos cerca de la época de las festividades, muchas personas (locales y turistas), se encontraban visitando la calle. Habían muchas personas alrededor así que había que caminar con cuidado. Ese día también disfrutamos de un concierto por parte de un grupo local (realmente no recuerdo el nombre), pude dar con un local de comida que deseaba conocer y que visité más adelante (Heart Attack Grill), compré algunos obsequios y supe que en el mes de Enero estaría tocando una banda que me gusta mucho, Skid Row, en el hotel Nugget. Lamentablemente no pude asistir por motivos personales. Sin embargo, creo que me hacía mucha ilusión caminar por esas calles, dónde en algún momento dado estuvo el grupo U2 grabando el vídeo musical de "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Y ese mismo año se presentaron en la "Sphere".
I would say that the Freemont was full of images that at some point I could see through my TV screen. And that little by little those images were coming to life as I walked around and got to know each space in Las Vegas. In a way, my vision was a bit narrow because I was always a home girl, not knowing much (or practically nothing) about what it was like to travel abroad. As they would say over there, seeing the world. It was a very entertaining day, probably for others something everyday and ordinary, but for me I marveled at every space. Diría que la Freemont estaba lleno de imágenes que en algún momento pude ver a través de la pantalla de mi televisor. Y que poco a poco esas imágenes iban cobrando vida conforme caminaba y conocía cada espacio de Las Vegas. En cierta forma, mi visión era un poco estrecha porque siempre fui una chica de casa, sin conocer demasiado (o prácticamente nada) lo que era viajar al exterior. Cómo dirían por allí, conocer mundo. Fue un día muy entretenido, seguramente para los demás algo cotidiano y ordinario, pero a mí me maravillo cada espacio. Finalmente amigos míos, esto ha sido todo por el día de hoy.
