Greetings human travelers, how are you...

I am delighted to have discovered this community, and today I want to tell you about a trip we took to the municipality of Envigado, which is located in Colombia.
We live in an apartment in MedellĂn and we traveled by motorcycle for about 40 minutes to this place, where we left our vehicle in a parking lot. From there, we ventured into the forest for a hike of approximately one hour.

This is a level 4 hike as we go uphill along a stone path bordering the Ayura creek, where we see various types of terrain.

In the photo, this type of path is called "canalones" because, as the locals in this area tell us, it can only be accessed on horseback or on foot.

The climate in this place is premontane humid forest and it is protected by the municipality of Envigado. This place is a paradise; however, you need to bring hydration and something to eat because it’s just you and nature.
We started this hike at 11 a.m. and encountered many people both going up and down, although I noticed it is very popular among English-speaking tourists.

Although the place itself is a paradise, we reached the cherry on top, which is the first of three waterfalls in this area. To get there, we had to descend a slope of about 5 meters, where even my wife fell, haha.

When we arrived, the power of the water was majestic. I climbed up to this waterfall and bathed in its magical waters. The force of this waterfall is immense, and I couldn't stand it for more than 30 seconds.

The water is cold, though the sun accompanied us for a while. I loved it because it was the first time I experienced the sensation of immersing myself in a waterfall. The feeling of power, of tranquility, is something you can only experience firsthand.

If I tell you it’s the first of three waterfalls, it’s because about 40 minutes further up are the others, along with some caves. But since it was getting late, we'll leave it for the future, and I’ll prepare myself more physically. I must say, my wife is in better physical shape than I am, as even while writing this post, my legs are still sore. But rest assured, I’ll document it when I climb to the caves.

In the photo, you can also see some hanging nests made by a bird that lives there. I was lucky enough to see it; it is black, but its tail has yellow at the tips of its feathers.

If you ever think of doing this route, I don't recommend going alone and make sure to wear comfortable clothes with good sneakers or boots.

Human beings by nature always seek the natural, and discovering this magical place recharged my energy.
Thank you very much for getting here and reading my post. Remember to travel, learn something new, exercise, and most importantly, seek YOUR HAPPINESS.

BLESSINGS... REMEMBER THAT TRAVELING WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU A STORY TO TELL.

BENDICIONES... RECUERDA QUE VIAJAR SIEMPRE TE DARÁ UNA HISTORIA QUE CONTAR.
