Hello, Hivers! It’s me again Doughnahhh and now I'm back again with another blog series! It's been a while since I shared my adventure with you all. I’ve missed sharing my trips with you all and today I’m very excited because I’ll be taking you along on my Badian trip this time.
I'll give you some trivia about Badian. Badian is also one who has the most beautiful gems in South Cebu. Badian is known for its crystal clear waters also there very breathtaking canyoneering and also the famous Kawasan Falls in Badian. This trip has been on my bucket list for so very long and I can’t wait to finally share every moment from the road trip vibes to the refreshing and beautiful destination of mine with you guys. So sit back and relax and join me as I show you the beauty and fun adventure that Badian has to offer. Let’s go on this adventure together with me.
It was 4 AM in the morning when our driver arrived to pick us up here in our office. We are the first group on the list, so everything was still quiet and a little chilly and we can choose where to sit. Before we left, our driver noticed that the front light of her van wasn’t working properly our driver scared that the police or LTO would arrest him because of her lights and also to make sure that we could travel safely going to our destinations so he decided to fix it before proceeding to the road. Even in a little gesture I offer help to our driver by holding the flashlight while he is working on repairing the lights so that it can make it a little bit easier for him. After a few minutes of repairing and checking, he finally got it the correct way to make it work. After everything was all set, we finally headed off to the airport to meet the rest of the group since we are joining a tour that's why we have another group to be with us.
We finally arrived at the airport and we've waited for the 2nd group of guests to come out. We took around more or less than 10 minutes, while Kuya our driver he is was waiting outside with the other group, while us we stayed comfortably inside the van. Not long after, the guests finally arrived. They are calling kuya Driver and after they saw kuya driver they were smiling and are very full of energy despite the very early call time. We were all so happy and relieved that finally they are not delayed so much and knowing also that the real adventure was about to begin because they have finally arrived. With everyone we are finally complete we can officially start our journey to proceed to Badian!
After everyone settled and after everyone got in, we all decided to take a nap first since as per as our driver he mentioned that the travel time from the city going to Moalboal is would take around 3 to 4 hours. The van was so quiet except for the soft music playing in the background that made it also easy for us to sleep, and not too soon all of us were already asleep. 😴
I woke up just as we were near Moalboal terminal probably because I started feeling hungry! The super early morning trip and the super cold of the aircon of the van made me crave breakfast. When we finally arrived at the terminal Kuya driver informed us that we could grab some breakfast first or maybe use the comfort room if we needed to poop or pee before we continued on our trip.
It felt so good to stretch up and to recover my energy after sitting for hours, and the thought of a hot meal definitely lifted everyone’s mood. The sun was already up I really felt it on my skin. The town was slowly waking because the sun was going down and we were all excited knowing that Badian was just a short drive away not that short I think the travel is 1 hour I'm still happy least we are halfway to Badian. After more than four hours of travelling, we finally reached the boundary of the Municipality of Badian. The moment I saw it, my heart jumped with excitement as I gaslight myself that it is a sign that we are so close to our destination yeeeyyy.
The long drive we are heading on suddenly doesn’t make me feel tired anymore. As we passed through the winding roads, I could already feel the fresh breeze and see the beautiful landscapes welcoming us the tall coconut trees and any kind of trees and the mountain views it's so very green and the classic houses give a warmth of pride in their provincial charm. My heart is full of happiness even more knowing that in just a few more minutes we would finally arrive at the place we’d been looking forward.
After hours on the road, it felt amazing to realise that our Badian adventure was just about to begin.
Charan! We have finally arrived at Cocoville! Everyone cheered when the van was stopped we were all so happy and relieved from the four hours of travelling that we were finally here. The place looked calm and refreshing, surrounded by nature with coconut trees and the calm vibe of the province.
