Sands

Sands - there is such a place on the shores of Lake Kubenskoe. This is a small village 90 km from Vologda. It is located on the left bank almost at the northernmost point of the lake. There are a couple of attractions here: the old church and the old ship.

The road to the village is quite good, but it can sometimes be difficult to go ashore due to the spill of the lake.

Kubenskoe lake is big! In some places, the opposite shore is not visible.

The name of the village was due to the sandy shore, which is exposed at low water levels. But I could not see the sandbank - there was a lot of water!

An old rusty fishing boat has already become a kind of attraction of this place. But again, due to the high water level in Lake Kubenskoe, it was not possible to get to it and onto it.

In principle, it was possible to go by the boots, but I did not do this. In addition, at the time of writing this post, there was already laid bare a path to it.

Boats on the lake only scurry back and forth.

And here is what the coastline really looks like. There are so many tents set up that there is nowhere to step!

Another boat. And this is on a weekday...or rather evening.

You need to go to a place called Sands on Lake Kubenskoe towards the end of summer, when the very sands are exposed. Otherwise, you will not be interested here.

And the lake itself can be seen in more picturesque places.
