As someone that has lived in Southern Asia for many years I am quite familiar with horror stories about these small pests. Thankfully I have managed to keep them out of my own home the entire time.

Perhaps you know more than I do but for me anyway, I think that a lot of people are a lot more afraid of these pests than they should be. I don't like the idea of bugs crawling on me in the night either but thankfully they do not transfer any diseases. If they did, I think a great deal of the world's population would be rapidly wiped out. Or they would bring back DDT and stop lying about the side effects of it.
