You should defi. go, it's one of the most amazing places ever. I stayed there for over 2 months camping.
It depends on where you wanna go and which route you plan on taking, but it's pretty commom to cross the border multiple times, especially the farther to the south.
To get to Tierra del Fuego from Argentina for example, you need to enter Chile and then Argentina again.
