This time I want to tell you about a rainy day that I recently spent at the Baltic Sea near Mielno (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). It was raining heavily in the morning that day. According to the weather forecasts, it was supposed to improve around noon and it was supposed to be sunny for 2-3 hours. I am always cautious about such hourly weather forecasts, but I wanted to believe that it would be fine. Unfortunately, it started to improve not around noon, but around 5 p.m. We decided with my friend that we would go for a walk by the sea. Just in case, we took umbrellas and raincoats with us.
Tym razem chcę wam opowiedzieć o pewnym deszczowym dniu, który spędziłam niedawno nad Morzem Bałtyckim, w okolicach Mielna (zachodniopomorskie). Tego dnia pd rana padał silny deszcz. Według prognoz pogody miało się poprawić około południa i przez 2-3 godziny miała być ładna słoneczna pogoda. Zawsze z dużą rezerwa podchodzę do takich godzinowych prognoz pogody, ale chciałam wierzyć, że będzie dobrze. Niestety zaczęło się poprawiać nie koło południa, ale około 17 :P Postanowiłyśmy z koleżanką, że wybierzemy się na spacer nad morze. Na wszelki wypadek wzięłyśmy ze sobą parasolki i kurtki przeciwdeszczowe.
To get to the beach, you had to go through the seaside forest. The entrance to the forest was completely flooded. We tried to pass the huge puddle sideways, but it was not easy because the passage in this place was very narrow and there were prickly bushes next to it.
Aby dojść do plaży trzeba było przejść przez nadmorski las. Wejście do lasu było całkowicie zalane. Próbowałyśmy minąć bokiem ogromną kałużę, ale nie było to proste bo przejście w tym miejscu było bardzo wąskie, a obok rosły kłujące krzaki.
When I entered the forest, I felt the wonderful smell of trees, which after the rain was more intense than usual. We were dripped from trees, but we had umbrellas so the raindrops falling on us were no problem at all.
Gdy weszłam do lasu poczułam cudowny zapach drzew, który po deszczu był bardziej intensywny niż zazwyczaj. Kapało na nas z drzew, ale byłyśmy zaopatrzone w parasolki, więc te krople deszczu spadające na nas, nie stanowiły żadnego problemu.
When we got to the beach, it cleared a bit, I was hoping that the sun would come out soon and that day we would experience nice weather for a while.
Gdy dochodziłyśmy do plaży trochę się wypogodziło, miałam nadzieję, że zaraz wyjdzie słońce i tego dnia doświadczymy chociaż przez chwilę ładnej pogody.
Unfortunately it did not happen, it started raining again. First lightly and then the rain was very intense. But - so what ... I had an umbrella with me, took off my shoes and didn't care too much about the weather. If you are well dressed, even in such weather you can spend a good time on the beach. It has been a long time since I saw such a rough sea, I could see huge waves, even very closely, feel their power on my body.
Niestety tak się nie stało, zaraz znowu zaczęło padać. Najpierw lekko, a później deszcz był bardzo intensywny. Ale - co z tego... miałam ze sobą parasolkę, zdjęłam buty i nie przejmowałam się za bardzo pogodą. Jak jest się dobrze ubranym to nawet w taką pogodę można fajnie spędzić czas na plaży. Dawno nie widziałam tak wzburzonego morza, mogłam zobaczyć, nawet bardzo z bliska ogromne fale, poczuć ich moc, na swoim ciele.
I also enjoyed bird watching. Some of them stood motionless on the shore, some were walking on the beach in search of food. I was standing under the umbrella and trying to take a nice picture of them.

Podobało mi się też obserwowanie ptaków. Część z nich stała nieruchomo na brzegu, część chodziła po plaży w poszukiwaniu pokarmu. Stałam pod parasolką i próbowałam zrobić im fajne zdjęcie.

Huge waves and the sea full of energy mesmerized me with its strength
Ogromne fale i pełne energii morze hipnotyzowało mnie swoją siłą.
I stood under the umbrella and stared at it for a long time.
Stanęłam pod parasolką i wpatrywałam się w nie przez dłuższy czas.
Until suddenly, out of a cool state of relaxation and communication with the water element, she knocked me out of her friend telling me not to move. It feels like she's trying to shake something off me. When I asked what was going on, she said there was a large insect walking on my back. A moment later I saw him on an umbrella. It was a bumblebee. I'm not afraid of them. It's nice that he found a temporary shelter on my body, and then on an umbrella, which I didn't chase him off.
Aż nagle z fajnego stanu relaksu i łączności z wodnym żywiołem wybiła mnie koleżanką mówiąc, żebym się nie ruszała. Czuje, że próbuje coś ze mnie strzepnąć. Gdy zapytałam co się dzieje, powiedziała, że chodzi mi po plecach wielki owad. Chwilę później zobaczyłam go na parasolce. To był bąk. Nie boję się bąków. Fajnie, że znalazł chwilowe schronienie na moim ciele, a później na parasolce, z której go nie przeganiałam.

Hehe, yes. I bought it when I was at the seaside when I saw that the weather was going to be rainy. Best of all, this umbrella was made in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I wonder how it was on sale in Europe, in a small seaside town :D
