Hey guys,
today I would like to introduce you another beautiful beach near Rostock - the beach Hohe Düne.
The beach of Hohe Düne connects directly from the east pier and the marina Hohe Düne to the east in direction Graal-Müritz.
What I particularly liked: It is a very fine-grained white sand beach with few stones - ideal for sunbathing! The water here is also relatively shallow.
The beach Hohe Düne is located in eastern direction from the Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne to the entrance of Markgrafenheide. We drove by car from Rostock on the country road L22 in the direction of Graal-Müritz and turned off at Hinrichshagen to Markgrafenheide. From Warnemünde the best way to get to the beach is by the ferry Warnemünde-Hohe Düne in direction Graal-Müritz. The beach also has a little more to offer: there are a few restaurants and toilets in the immediate vicinity, you can walk with dogs on special sections of the beach and even go horse riding. There are also beach chairs, you can do water sports and there is a water rescue service. You can also make a campfire here.
On the day we visited the beach here, there were relatively few tourists (as you can probably see on the pictures ;). We just sat down on the beach on the sand which was really very soft and had a little drink. It's a great place to relax from everyday life and enjoy the silence.
The beach Hohe Düne is also called an insider tip, as there are almost only locals here who want to escape the big touristic bustle at the beach of Warnemünde.
You will probably find less action here ;)
The beach is in most places not very wide, about 20 - 40 meters and some days you will lie here in some sections almost completely alone. Ideal for sun worshippers, beach walkers and people seeking peace and quiet. The beach offers a small guarded textile beach and a larger area for naturists.
