Bholagonj

Bholagonj is one of the most popular tourist spot in Sylhet nowadays. It is called "Sada pathor" means white Stone. A place that boasts of rows of hills, rivers, falls and quarries.

Bholagonj, the largest stone quarry in Bangladesh is 33km away to the north from Sylhet city. It's covered with the Cherapunji hills. River dholai just entered at Bangladesh through this place.

Bholagonj sada pathor also called the heaven of white stone. The illustrious charm of Bholagonj as a portrayed by Lindsay is no more to be found.

In the rainy season from the Khasia Jaintia hills in the state of Meghalaya, the rain water comes down. Stones come down the slope in the Dhalai river. The extraction of stones lasts till the arrival of the next monsoon.

To reach Sada pathor we had to ride by boat. Before riding we spent some time here. Because this view just melt my heart. It looks like just made a great combination of clouds and hills. I think no word can define the beauty of the scenery.

When we went to the middle of the river, I suddenly noticed that there were all big hills all around us. That was really eye catching.

The Meghalayan clouds, waterfalls from hills and the sandy shores of the Dholai, ceaseless streams and transparent water are the main attractions.

We have enjoyed a lot. Trule i felt a small heaven in Bolahonj sada pathor. I think i am in love with "Bholagonj" 😍

The best time to visit the amazing spot is between May and October, specially in summer season.

Stay safe & sound

Thanks everyone 🙂
