Thanks for all the info man, really appreciated. I have heard a lot of various opinions on the vaccine, so many and so different that I actually haven´t been able to form my own opinion on this thing yet :D But apparently, "vaccine passport" will soon be a real thing, which sounds a bit crazy... So Thailand open to the world again? Awesome. But a thousand dollars for the quarantine? Wow, that´s a lot. For what exactly?

Yes, the world is up-side down. And yes, $1,000 is some BS. It's for one of the state approved quarantine hotels. No ten dollars per night at these places. That's just how it is for now, but at least anyone who wants to come now can.
