Welcome to the weekend. Travelers should have a pretty easy day at most airports with relatively good weather across major cities in the USA and Canada. There are very few weather and air traffic control delays.

EWR, Newark Liberty International Airport is experiencing ATC delays. Current delays are running about 34 minutes for departing and arriving aircraft due to high winds in the area.

PHL, Philadelphia International Airport is experiencing ATC congestion delays of approximately 30 minutes due to traffic congestion in the area. This is most likely related to heavy Air Traffic in the EWR/New York area. Continued weather problems at EWR may lead to additional delays in the New York area. JFK and LGA may be affected later in the day.

As always, you should contact your airline before heading to the airport to determine whether any of your flights have been impacted by the current delays. Even if you are not heading to the New York area, other flights may be impacted at other stations.

If you have any other questions about ATC or other airport and airline issues, I am here to help!
