Kumbhal garh Fort ( In Udaipur) is a UNESCO world heritage site. You can read all about it on wikipedia. What you cant really read is the fort it self. You have to walk through its lanes to see the story for your self. Built by Rana Kumbha in late 14th century, it is dedicated to Maharana pratap, as Maharana Pratap was born there and died in the Battle of Haldighati ( In rajasthan).
Not only the fort is magnificanat, it also tells us certain aspects of ruling class in India. It baffles me why they were fighting each other, while a closer alliance would have made them prosper beyond the means of anybody.
To answer this, you should evaluate your own feeling of Jealousy, how it drives you, how your inner desires shapes your persona. There are stories to explore in these forts, but i personally try to find my true self when i visit these monuments. I often ask my self, would i have built a fort to satisfy my ego ?

Another View inside Kumbhalgarh Fort, these are much nicer to see in real life than in pictures. But its a must visit place.
