Mile Zero Indonesia - Titik Nol Nusantara (IKN)

Hi Friends!

A giant greeting from the wonderful wonderland, Indonesia 😍 Shameful to say, from March 7th up to now, March 11, I have not recorded many videos but pictures only! I'm just too busy with catching up, trying to soak in everything all at once and not to mention the bloody jetlag, that my focused had been on taking pictures, which is odd, I mean I love taping vids as much as I like taking snaps. Whenever am back at the hotel and checked my cam, then I would have regrets, saying hey, I didn't make any vids, gotta remember for next time, but then nope, still hardly taking any vids of my whereabouts. Darn it! 😫😅😫😅

More meh news. When we left Canada, we planned to take the boys to Central and West Java, to see temples, mountains and whatnot. Nope. Not happening. Volcanos active here and there, in fact, 35 villages evacuated already. Yikes! Here is wishing everyone in the areas are safe and sound!

Today's share is our funny visit to Mile Zero Indonesia. Yep, am borrowing Mile Zero Alaska, Dawson Creek's slogan 😁

Indonesia refers it as Titik Nol Nusantara, starting point of our archipelago.

Indonesia is moving it's capital city (IKN) to the place we visited. It will no longer be in Jakarta.

Throughout decades, Indonesia has moved the capital city for quite a few times, though. So this is not something new 😊

Anyhoo. I said funny, because....we were naughty 🤣🤣🤣🤣 If you have the time to watch the vlog, you'll know why 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Weather wise wasn't good at all. Been raining much in Indonesia, and so wet clay road, muddy, slippery, etc, caused some incidents to some motorbike riders, trying to visit the place.

My two boys had a hard time smiling to all the paparazzi cameras as altho it rained, sun was not friendly to their eyes, when they looked up for cameras. After awhile, it became too much for them to smile as their brows, forehead, front eye area hurt focusing to see to which camera they had to smile to 😅😅😅😅

To top that, as the area for the new capital city is still in project, nothing is really ready, except for the Ministry section, which we didn't get to check as it was heavily guarded.

Red plates vehicles (government vehicles), were also taking over traffic and whatnot 😜

To be honest. We only came here because we were informed that in good sunny days, many Orang Utan would come out of the jungle, and just sit on the side of the road or trying to cross to get to the other side of the jungles. Since the area where they would do so is only an H or so away from the new capital city area, we thought to continue driving to check it out.

IKN is about 3 H drive from Balikpapan, where my family reside, don't expect fancy restaurants, so pack snacks, food, water and whatever you need. Needless to say, no public restrooms available 😜

See you soon again!

Yay for going home for a holiday 😆 though unfortunate about the timing and the weather 😱

Yes. But its been good to see the family 😊
