Description: Noctis Labyrinthus is a maze of deep valleys and plateaus at the western end of Valles Marineris, spanning 1,190 km. Formed by tectonic stretching and volcanism from Tharsis, its intersecting canyons reach 7 km deep, with pit chains and grabens indicating subsurface voids or magma withdrawal. It's a transition zone between highlands and canyons.
How I Got My Name: Named 'Labyrinth of Night' for its complex, dark appearance in early images.
