Hello, street art fans!
My entry to the 134th round is a painting created in Kyiv, Ukraine by the Ukrainian company Kailas-V. The creative group «Kailas-V» was founded in 2002. There are more than 70 murals in their portfolio, including those financed by city and state budgets. Geography of their works - Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, China, Vietnam, Philippines. Some of their paintings they share here - https://www.instagram.com/kailas.v/
But back to this particular street art. It was created in 2015. Funny fact - the mural was painted over another mural called "The future is built today". Coordinator of the CityArt project called it a poorly drawn advertisement for a construction company.

The residents of Kyiv had mixed feelings about this idea. Some asked why the existing mural was painted over when there were empty gray walls of houses all around. Others asked why their opinions were not asked before murals were created on their homes. I wonder how they treat this in other cities?
A few words about a subject. Mykhailo Hrushevsky. In January 1918, at a meeting of the Central Council, its chairman Mykhailo Hrushevsky proclaimed the Ukr |ainian People's Republic - an independent, free and sovereign state of the Ukrainian people. Young republic was conquered by the Red Army in 1920.
