I came by this place with the intention of finding a mechanic. When I arrived at the workshop, while the mechanic was doing his job, I was doing mine, contemplating the environment and taking pictures.
Pasé por este lugar con intención de hallar un mecánico. Al llegar al taller, mientras el mecánico hacía su trabajo, yo hacía el mío, contemplar el ambinte y tomar fotografías.
I am not an expert in this type of art such as graffiti, but to tell the truth, I loved the result of this work. The animals that represent the owners of the place are monkeys... I asked the reason why the theme was chosen and one of the workers only mentioned: Because we are monkeys, grumpy, active, restless and intelligent. I don't know if he wanted to get out of the way or if that is the real meaning of the drawing.
No soy experta en este tipo de arte como lo es el graffiti pero si digo la verdad, me encantó el resultado de este trabajo. Los animales que representan a los dueños del local son monos.. pregunté la razón por la cual se había escogido el tema y uno de los trabajadores solo mencionó: Porque somos monos, gruñones, activos, inquietos e inteligentes. No sé si quiso salir del paso o realmente ese es el sentido real del dibujo.
This art had been highly criticized in Venezuela due to the amount of graffiti and also the amount of invaded spaces. However, it has become culture both on one side and the other. Now it is more valued and graffiti artists are more respectful of public spaces, and the artists even manage to beautify abandoned places like this part of the street.
Este arte había sido muy críticado en Venezuela por la cantidad de graffiti y además la cantidad de espacios invadidos. Sin embargo, se ha hecho cultura tanto de un lado como del otro. Ahora se valora más y los grafiteros respetan más los espacios públicos incluso, ya los artistas logran embellecer lugares abandonados cómo esta parte de la zona.
