Here my entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #52 with a great mural done by Monk.E some years ago on the entrance of a public pool in Montreal.
Voici mon entrée pour la 52ème édition du CCC's Street Art Contest avec une murale faite par
Monk.E il y a déjà quelques années sur les murs de l'entrée d'une piscine publique à Montréal.
In 2014 the mural occupied the entire building, but renovation work cut it down by a third (you can see the beginning of a completely white wall on the left).
En 2014 la murale occupait la totalité du bâtiment mais des travaux de rénovation l'ont amputé d'un bon tiers (on peut apercevoir un début de mur complètement blanc sur la gauche).
Monk.E is a Canadian street-artist and musician, he defines himself as an Alchimiographist. He started graffiti with the K6A crew (for information, the K6A members elaborated a wall last weekend during the festival Under Pressure. A post is coming on this subject.). Since Monk.E imposes his artistic vision all around the world in music and painting.
Monk.E est un artiste et musicien Hip-Hop canadien se définissant lui-même comme un Alchimiographiste (j'aime beaucoup le terme). Il commença le graffiti en fondant le collectif K6A (pour info, les membres du groupe étaient en train d'élaborer un mur durant le festival Under Pressure le weekend dernier. Un post arrive à ce sujet.). Depuis Monk.E a partagé sa vision artistique partout dans le monde.

Few information on this mural. But the theme of water is associated with its location on the walls of the Baldwin pool with many belugas that invite us to come and swim with them. The beluga is the emblematic animal of the St. Lawrence.
Peu d'information sur cette murale. Mais le thème de l'eau est associé avec son emplacement sur les murs de la piscine Baldwin avec de nombreux bélugas qui nous invitent à venir nager avec eux. Le béluga est l'animal emblématique du Saint-Laurent.
