Greetings dear friends, welcome to my blog, I am participating again in the contest organized by @digi-me, CCC's Street Art Contest #271. Walking through the city center, I came across a portrait of Luis Mariano Rivera. It is very common to see painted murals near the historic center of my hometown, Cumaná. I couldn't resist, so I took out my phone camera and clicked away, getting my photography to participate in this new edition of street art.

The subject of the mural is a musician, singer, poet, playwright, and composer from Sucre, Venezuela, whose name was Luis Mariano Rivera. Luis Mariano left an invaluable legacy in our popular culture, and despite his many talents, it was through music that he established himself as a major figure.

In tribute to this outstanding composer and playwright born in Canchunchú, Bermúdez municipality, a theater bearing his name, “Luis Mariano Rivera,” was built in our beloved city of Cumaná. The painted portrait of this artist from Sucre, who died on March 15, 2002, was taken in Callejón Santa Inés, a place that opens the doors to the historic center of the city of Cumaná, Sucre state, Venezuela. I love this mural because of how well the portrait of this important figure in popular culture has turned out and because of the beauty of the nature that surrounds it, a little corner full of flowers.

This is my entry to the CCC's Street Art Contest #271.
