Antofagasta Street Art (En/Es)

In this new post of the series dedicated to the street art of Antofagasta (Chile), I present a mural located at the city center. It has a vivid colors which it is in contradiction with its “sinister” thematic. I see the representation of the death, and it reminds me the pointed masks used by the physicians during the time of the plague in Europe, or is it a sword? Were the authors thinking on some analogy with the pandemic that we just experienced?.

En esta nueva publicación de la serie que le he dedicado al arte urbano de Antofagasta, presento un mural ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, de colores bastantante vividos, lo cual contrasta con su temática que parece un poco “siniestra”, veo la representación de la muerte y recuerda a las mascaras puntiagudas usadas por los medicos en la época de la peste negra en Europa, ¿o es un sable? ¿Los autores habrán pensado alguna analogía con la pandemia reciente?

The photos were taken with the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and edited in Gimp. Besides the usual corrections done in the edition I also used extensively perspective corrections.

Todas las fotografías fueron tomadas con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, y la edición se realizo en Gimp. Se efectuó corrección de perspectiva en todas las imágenes, ademas de las usuales correcciones durante la edición.
