In this post I show a mural that I saw a few days ago. In spite of being small, I find it quite nice and interesting, and it has an environmentalist message. As you can see, it is an underwater scene, showing a female sea lion and other animal (it looks like an otter), seaweeds, sea urchins and other crustaceans attached to the rocks.
Those of you who follow my blog, know that sea lions are frequent in the coast of Antofagasta (mainly where there are fishermen, since they get “free food”) I have published photos of them in my blog.
En esta semana presento un mural, que recientemente vi, el cual es pequeño pero lo encuentro muy bonito y con un interesante mensaje ambientalista. Como pueden ver se trata de una escena submarina donde están un lobo marino y otro mamífero (no sé exactamente de que animal se trata, aunque pareciera ser una nutría), unas algas y unos erizos y otros crustáceos adheridos a las rocas.
Quienes siguen mi blog, saben que los lobos marinos son animales bastante frecuentes en las costas de la ciudad (principalmente donde hay pescadores, ya que obtienen “comida gratis”), y los he fotografiado en varias ocasiones.
The mural is located in a space next to some stands, which makes uneasy to captured in photo in its totality. Its ubicación is a pedestrian way next to the sea.
El mural aprovecha un espacio al lado de unas gradas, lo cual dificulta un poco fotografiarlo en su totalidad. Y está ubicado en el paseo de la avenida costanera, justo al lado del mar.
