CCC's Street art. Contest #269

in StreetArt2 months ago

I found this beautiful mural at the Business Administration block in the University of Uyo, and I couldn’t help but stop to admire it.

It captures the true picture of how markets here in Nigeria look; lively, colourful, and full of human activity. You can see men and women going about their daily sales, carrying baskets, pushing , and arranging their goods under the open sky. It’s a scene that feels so familiar and close to home.

The painting tells a story of resilience and survival of people who wake up early just to make an honest living. You can almost hear the noise of bargaining, the laughter of traders, and the distant sounds of buses and footsteps. It shows not just business, but life itself, the way people connect, share, and support one another through simple everyday activities.

To me, this mural is a mirror reflecting our culture, our strength, and our togetherness as Nigerians. It reminds me that beauty can be found in ordinary places, even in the rush and struggle of daily life. I love how the artist managed to bring out so much emotion and movement in one frame. Truly, this piece celebrates who we are as a people: vibrant, hardworking, and full of life.
