Hail to the Hive!
You may recognise the title from the Shakespeare play 'Richard III"
Ok but did you hear of how they found the remains of King Richard the 3rd under a car park in Leicester? And did you also know that where he lay hidden all those hundreds of years was literally just off the King Richard Road?
Well it was.
And just off the King Richard Road also happens to be where I found this glorious piece of street art which is a homage to the Battle of Bosworth where ye Olde King Dicky 3 came a cropper good and proper.
I am continuing to find more and more impressive artwork around the city on this visit and it really feels like at every turn the city hasbeen brought to life with amazing street art.
I think this is an incredible piece. Almost like the battle is about to hit you full on as you round the corner. It's alive and vibrant and full on in your face as a battle like this would have been (except for those that were dead of course)
So this will be my entry for this weeks CCC's Street Art Contest!
