Hello my art hunter friends, here I share with you some murals that I found on the bus platform near my house, access is quite restricted to the area of the murals so I had to take the photos from afar, I hope it's the same can appreciate them
"Every good cartoonist must have cats, believes Carlos Nine. His teacher, Alberto Breccia, had 14. He used to say that the more cats you have, the better you draw. Nine has not yet reached that number, but everyone admires his work. Among his teachers he also counts Albino Fernández, Antonio Pujía and Aída Carballo. Carlos Nine makes drawings, illustrations, sculptures, paintings and animated films. His artistic career has the halo of the mythical. He was the cover artist for Humor in the eighties, published his comics in Fierro magazine, illustrated many advertisements, and drew comics for the media in Europe, the United States and China. In France he received the most important award for comics, and was an illustrator for the famous The New Yorker. He was also a collaborator of Art Spiegelman and in 2012 received the Platinum Konex Award as the most outstanding Illustrator of the decade in Argentina. When our Head of Art asked him for an illustration, Nine said yes. But, unafraid to experiment, she surprised us all by producing, instead, an original work in three pieces.
Nine laughs at the aristocracy of the art world, about which he has several anecdotes. Perhaps that's why he never considered himself an artist. "It's a lot of responsibility to walk around with that nickname on your back," he says. Some years ago, in Barcelona, he was asked how he would define himself. And he answered that as a worker"
