The Bakerdire Construct: Something Stirs in Praetoria
The forest along the river was eerily silent. Erik and Joborg shivered as they waded through the icy water, their hide garments becoming taut as the current inundated them as they crossed.
"Were the rumors true?" Erik pondered and thought to himself as he finally slung their supplies he was cradling above his head to the shore.
"Was this horde really all it was cracked up to be?" An ominous chill could be felt in the wind, even the birds were quiet.
"I don't feel good about this Joborg, Isn't this a battlemage's land?" Erik whispered to Joborg as they riffled through their rucksacks of supplies and grabbed machetes. The woods seemed more daunting now than in their home forest of gobson, this unfamiliar territory sent shivers down Erik's spine. And he was no cowardly goblin, somehow these trees felt... predatory. He couldn't pin it down.
"Nuff of ya" Joborg snarled as he donned a set of armor from the bag and readied his polearm. "We're going to scout the area, pick any valuable bits we can keep in our packs and get out of there". His rucksack clanged as he put it on over his full suit of battle gear.
"And if we aren't alone in the woods?" Erik said as he readied himself in similar fashion with a pair of daggers and leather breastplate he pulled from his knapsack before reequipping it.
"Then they make nice---" Joborg grunted as he flourished his halberd. "--or they make dead."
The pair of them advanced into the ominous fireland woods by the lone river in the province. Erik felt that it was strange they encountered nothing, and he meant nothing. It was as if no living thing was among them in those woods.
A loud crackle could be heard from the underbrush ahead.
"They ain't making nice" Joborg whispered as he gestured for him and Erik to perform a pincer movement with a movement of his hand, but as they mobilized to begin flanking the crackling underbrush something whizzed past them. Then another object, and another, all these pieces seemed to hover in place around a crackling sphere of green energy. A large axe whizzed passed the goblin duo and landed with a think in the tree next to the whirring, crackling, jaw-dropping anomaly. What appeared to be mechanized hands reached for the axe and pulled it from the tree, the green orb appeared to have manufactured some sort of body to protect itself. It flourished the axe around it's body numerous times, spinning it extravagantly as if it was born with the blade.
Both the goblins took a moment to stare at each other and nod, they knew what must be done. The monstrous contraption twitched and both goblins burst into flight, running as fast as their little legs could carry them. The promise of treasure wasn't worth dying over, their only mission reconnaissance and that was not a prospect they could complete if they were dead. They could hear the whirring as they reached the river, the only sound among deafening silence.
A Powerful Asset on the Battlefield: Revival
In this particular lineup Runi synergizes with Chanseus for a rather defensible 2nd position that also acts as high per turn damage output. However the Runi synergizes very well with any summoner that grants void armor along with any other creatures with armor up or additional defensive abilities. My personal preference for using the Runi in battle will likely be the light faction due to the formidable synergies that already exist within my collection for it.
In this lineup I used the Runi as a bit of a meatshield to defend from damage and augment the opportunity damage provided by Cave slug (Runi occupies position 2 in this lineup aswell and uses previously mentioned chanseus synergy), focusing fire tends to be an apt strategy most of the time in SPL, in this case opportunity brutalized the enemy backline and left his lineup in shambles.
The Runi is a strong fighter that revives itself one time and is a neutral card with opportunity and true strike. It is very easy to find a place for this card in armor favored rulesets or reverse speed, in many other lineups Runi can be a bit slow for eliminating glass cannons before they fire (but never misses small flying units either). A strong and interesting card, but not potentially the first card to add to your collection.
My Land, Some thoughts: Runi, Beast of Burden
With land coming into the implementation phase it is said that runi's will be some of the best workers for said land. Despite the Runi being a strong fighter it is likely my Runi may be sent to farm one of my plots at this time (along with many of my higher leveled cards). I will at least be setting all of my HIGH LEVELED BUT NON-CORE cards to mine on my various plots. It also seems it is about the time to create my own personal guild to accompany my tract of land, I wonder what I will call it? In any case the next portion of my Splinterlands journey is upon me and I will need to move tokens around to get ready for it.

The Runi: An Overall Review
Overall the Runi was worth getting a copy of as a card player, land owner, and Splinterbuff. At it's original cost it feels rather worth it now that we are in the next stage of land etc. this card is one of my few maximum level cards and was a steal to acquire in hindsight. 5/5 good for card strategy and land management.

My Splinterplan Going Forward: Bonus Giveaway
Due to the new staking (pictured below) and card level requirements (those relating to each league) to earn in each league I will be mostly stacking SPS to reach diamond III in stake to earn in that league later on in my SPL career (a rather insane requirement in my personal opinion but I guess we will see how it plays out). I might use some SPS for various promos etc as time goes on in SPL, it's hard to say what the future holds for SPS. SPL, web3 gaming etc. I currently only have the card levels and stake for at most silver or gold, it will be interesting to see how things level out. Regardless Splinterlands still sports the same issues it previously had which is why I won't stream it. This stuff, I will in fact be posting a "mixed" review of the state of the game soon. A lot of cool stuff has happened, but a lot of the same issues remain rotting in the rafters that threaten to be a permanent hinderance to the project. It has taken a long time to gather proper data to make another informed post without assumptions, but I will be posting it soon enough. I would have joined spinterland a long time ago but the explanation a friend gave me made it look like it was so much work and i lost interest,like buy and selling and he painted it with so much horror and i just gave up on it
