Stuck Behind the Shutter.

I assisted Manny in scaling a roof before a fatal fall forced me to restart and use a rope for safety. After reuniting the team and upgrading gear at a workbench, a broken crank separated Mel and me from the others. We navigated a series of ladders and ropes to finally reach the roof.

There was a shutter blocking our progress, so we had to climb up to a roof. I helped Manny get up first, and then I followed him after he released the full rope for me to climb.

I was in a hurry to continue, so I jumped off from that height through the roof hole without checking the drop. Unfortunately, the fall was too great and I died upon impact with the floor.

I realized I had to use the same rope to climb down for safety instead of jumping. I did this successfully on my second try, descending carefully into the dark interior of the building below.

After landing on the ground, the first thing I did was move the obstacle that was striking the front door. This cleared the path and helped both Mel and our dog to come inside.

We started exploring the area where we found a hanging boat suspended from the ceiling. There was a workbench nearby where I took a moment to upgrade one of my gears for the fights ahead.

I noticed a shutter that I could open by rotating a crank. Manny and the dog got through, but right when Mel was about to go out, the crank broke and Mel got stuck with me.

We started looking for a way to get above as the others noticed a ladder on the upper level. I had to boost Mel up so she could find a way to help me reach her.

Mel opened a door from the other side so I could get in and closer to the hanging boat. I had to use a nearby ladder as a bridge to walk across and reached the boat.

There was a rope tied to the boat that I threw over a heavy steel beam. This allowed me to climb up to a stairway, and then I repositioned the same ladder to continue my ascent.

After climbing up to the stairway, we walked ahead through the maintenance corridors. We used the ladder one last time to finally get up onto the roof and out of the industrial trap.

After getting on the roof, the ladies saw Manny and the dog waiting below. They shouted that they would join them soon and then spotted the specific building where the team was heading.

We'll check what happens next in another post.

That fall to death scene look hilarious. But, good recovery using the rope the second time. I bet it taught you a lesson about patience, lol.

Nice teamwork getting everyone back together, which kept the progression feeling natural. The broken crank moment is a good example to that, and the cooperation between characters to regroup, showed how well the pacing balanced with character interaction instead of just constant action.

The rooftop escape looked satisfying after all that problem faced. Using ladders and ropes creatively made the climb feel engaging, which definitely required careful movement and teamwork instead of simple straightforward traversal.

 yesterday

It was a smart move upgrading gear before moving on, which did sound like a calm preparation moment. It gave the journey a realistic rhythm where survival requires planning, not just quick reactions in dangerous situations.

The rooftop reunion should give you a good sense of relief after all the trouble. At least the roof finally offered some fresh air after all that.
Did you expect that jump to be fatal on the first try?
