The Final Crossing.

After scouting the hospital from a high platform, I followed Lev across a series of terrifyingly thin paths. Abby eventually lost her balance, which caused both to fall from the sky into a swimming pool below. After recovering, Lev admitted he was lost, leading me to search a hotel for exit.

Lev was waiting for me to take his hand and cross the gap, but I stopped there for a second to check around our surroundings. I could see the hospital close by, which was our primary destination.

The distance looked manageable from here, but the heights made the short journey feel like an impossible task for someone like Abby.

Then I decided to check around the place through the photo mode, as the lighting at this altitude was absolutely stunning. I could see vast areas of the ruined city from that height, with skyscrapers poking through a sea of white clouds. It was a beautiful yet haunting view.

At last, I decided to follow Lev to that last thin platform that bridged the gap. Look how Abby was acting with her facial expressions, which was so funny because she was clearly terrified of the drop. Her eyes were wide and she was biting her lip, trying her best to focus on Lev instead of the abyss.

So I had to walk on the thin path following Lev for a moment, keeping my balance as the wind whipped around. Then there was this rusted ladder that I had to take to climb below a little to reach a more stable section of.

It was the last path of the dangerous terrain where Abby couldn't hold on anymore as her strength finally gave out. Her hands slipped from the wet metal, and for a split second, time seemed to stand still.

When Abby was hanging on that ledge of the bridge, Lev tried to pull her up with all his might, but both of them fell off the height together, disappearing into the thick layer of clouds below.

Fortunately, there was a swimming pool right below them on a lower roof, where they crashed after crashing through a massive glass roof. The water slowed their descent just enough to save their lives.

Yeah, they survived the impossible fall against all odds. And Abby asked Lev to give her a moment to breathe when Lev was still ready to move ahead as if nothing happened.

After getting up, Lev said it's not the path they usually take to reach the street, so he was not sure where to find the exit because this building was unfamiliar to him, which means I had to find a way out.

I started checking for a while out and I found this letter that mentioned a safe tucked away in the cleaning closet in the lobby, which might have some supplies we could use. I tucked the note away, hoping the safe was still locked and hadn't been looted by others.

We'll check what happens next in another post.

The atmosphere up there was incredible. Between the ruined towers, the sea of clouds, and the golden lighting, it created such a beautiful contrast against the constant fear and danger of the journey.

Thanks, I appreciate you noticing the atmosphere and lighting there.

Abby's face expression there is hilarious. And it was scary when they were falling down. Fortunately, both of them survived in the coolest way.

Haha yeah, it was hilarious.

The fall sequence was intense. The moment you lost grip and disappeared into the clouds felt straight out of a nightmare. Good game.

Falling into clouds is definitely not on anyone's travel plans, lol.
