I met Alva at the dig site after defeating a machine beast, only to be interrupted by Ceo and Bohai, who sought Ted Faro's tomb. When a massive titanium door blocked our path, I dived into the flooded construction passages, navigating dangerous turbines and high pressure to find a way inside.
After taking down the machine beast, the door to the dig site was opened for me. There I met Alva, who was happy that I got rid of that machine so she could continue her research.
While the ladies were having a good chat, there came Ceo along with Bohai and some of their soldiers. Bohai appreciated the work of Aloy, and then Ceo mentioned they were there to enter Thebes.
All of them started walking towards the underground cave to find the entrance to the tomb. The cinematic at that moment looked very cool as the Quen expedition moved deeper into the cave.
After reaching a big locked door that should lead to the facility, Aloy scanned it. She confirmed it was a titanium metal alloy door that was Gene-locked, meaning they could not break or destroy it easily.
Alva mentioned they had found evidence of passages below, perhaps built for construction or servants. However, she mentioned they were too far underwater for her to reach, so Aloy volunteered to help.
I jumped in the water and started diving without any hesitation as I already had gear that helped me breathe underwater. The flooded ruins were dark, but my focus helped me navigate the depths.
Far below, I noticed there was something glowing, so I headed towards it to investigate. A heavy water pressure was pushing me back upwards, making it difficult to maintain my depth in the current.
I noticed there was a hatch above leading to the other side, which looked like it could be my way out. I started swimming towards it, pushing through the murky water to find an opening.
When I reached this pipeline, both sides were covered with turbine fans. They were stopped at first, but one started rotating again, so I had to wait for it to be still before swimming through.

STOPSeeing the expedition move together into the cave looked really cinematic, a cool shift in pace. And the underwater navigation added a strong sense of danger and curiosity. I'm curious to see what happened next.
