I navigated the ruins toward Thebes, using underwater stealth to bypass aggressive machines. After overriding a Charger for transport, I arrived at Ted Faro's bunker site. I earned the tribe's trust by defeating a massive Apex Thunderjaw in a high-stakes battle using shock weaponry.

Ted Faro's bunker lays somewhere amidst the towering ruins of the ancient city. I had to get to Thebes, but I noticed there were redeye watchers on my way that I didn't want to fight at the start.

I tried a different route to avoid conflict, but I noticed there were more of them on the other side, effectively blocking my way. Their scanning beams were everywhere, making a direct land approach nearly impossible.

I decided to jump off the bridge and try the waterway to get ahead without facing any more of those machines. The water provided a much-needed veil for my movement.

While swimming, I noticed there were more watchers patrolling the surface. I went underwater and started diving to get to the other side without them noticing me.

When I found a way without getting detected, I started running fast so they wouldn't see me later. I moved through the overgrown ruins, keeping the bunker's general direction in my sights as I sprinted.

While running, I noticed a Charger site. I went there to override one and make it my mount, as I didn't have any transport on this part of the island to speed up my journey.

After overriding the Charger, I destroyed another of its kind and a redeye watcher that tried to intervene. I looted the machine carcasses, gathering the metal shards and wire needed for my upcoming fight.

Moving along a long path, I noticed a campfire that needed to be lit. I flamed it up and saved the game there, ensuring my progress was secured before entering the heart of the city.

At last, I reached Thebes, where Ted Faro's bunker should have been. However, the people there didn't look welcoming at all, standing guard with their weapons drawn as I approached their settlement.

I looked back and understood why they were so tensed. An Apex Thunderjaw was looming nearby. I knew I had to take it down to earn the trust of the tribe.

I tried to make some distance from the big machine first. I left my mount behind and went for the predator alone, dodging its massive tail and disc launchers as it charged at me.

I started attacking its core parts so it would go down fast. I was using regular arrows at the time, aiming for the glowing components beneath its heavy plating to disable its primary weapons.

I decided to use the shock boltbuster against the machine. The heavy weapon slowed my movement while the predator kept attacking, but I stayed focused and landed several critical return shots during the chaos.

After a long fight involving constant weapon switching, I finally took down the predator. I gathered all its rare supplies and components before heading towards Thebes to meet Alva at the entrance.
The next post will be coming soon. Screenshots are my take from the game and I took the game logo that I used on the thumbnail picture from online.
SEE YOU.
