After finding a photo of young KK in the purse, a strange light appeared to show Akito the way out. He followed the trail toward a temple where KK was being held. Without his powers, Akito had to use stealth to avoid dangerous demons.
The lady disappeared along with the purse, but Akito soon spotted the item sitting on a desk nearby. He walked toward it, curious about what it contained and why it was left behind.
Akito opened the purse and found a photo of a young KK with his mother. It was a personal discovery that gave more insight into KK's past and the life he had before all of this.
Suddenly, a strange trail of light appeared in the room, acting as a guide. It seemed to be showing Akito a way out of the shifting reality of the apartment and back into the city.
As he left the apartment, Akito followed the light and began to understand what the lady meant about him and KK being connected. The bond between them was the only thing guiding him through the darkness.
While following the trail, a red slasher blocked the path. Akito had to step out of the shadows to take the threat down before he could continue his search for KK.
I noticed several other demons like Rain Walkers, Paper Dolls, and Wanderers patrolling the streets. I chose to ignore all of them to stay focused on the trail of the strange light.
The trail led directly to a temple, but it was heavily guarded by demons. Akito took cover behind a parked car to study their movements and look for a gap in their defense.
After realizing KK was trapped inside this specific temple, Akito made a choice. He decided he had to rescue KK first before he could move on to saving Mari.
I moved ahead and managed to take down a Student of Misery, but there were too many other demons nearby. They quickly spotted me, and the situation turned dangerous fast.
Since I still didn't have my powers, I couldn't stay and fight the group. I had to fall back and hide in the shadows until the demons gave up their search and stopped following me.
I circled back and found a Forlorn and a male form of the Student of Misery guarding the area. I tried to stay hidden inside some thick tree leaves to stay out of their sight.
Just as I thought I was safe, the Student of Misery spotted me and started charging. I had to ditch the temple area and run back into the open streets to find a new place to hide.

The part where you had to rely only on stealth and surrounded by dangerous evils was very scary. Facing enemies like the Student of Misery without powers was very challenging.
