Clearing the Fog.

To unlock the map, I cleared a Torii Gate by using stealth to isolate and eliminate a Student of Pain and multiple Student of Misery entities. After extracting a temple bracelet, I spoke to a soul about blocked wells, briefly got lost in a forest, and grappled via a Tengu for a moonlit screenshot.

I decided to cleanse as many Torii Gate structures as I could around the prefecture, as that's the only way to unlock the whole map. And I noticed there were some demons guarding this gate in the center of the courtyard, blocking access to the shrine.

I distracted that Student of Pain from my location using a quick distraction . And after several tries to get the timing down, I took it down in a stealth strike from behind, shattering its spiritual armor instantly.

That triggered the Student of Miseries around who came to look for me after hearing their partner dissolve. But I hid on the other side of a vehicle , so the demons didn't found me.

I took down one out of those three on my way through the narrow temple alleyway. And then I had to confuse that next one for my location using the corners of the walls and take her down cleanly before she could alert the rest.

There was this single Student of Misery left whom I decided to take down in a strength as well to clear the area. So I jumped on the roof of the temple there to get a vertical advantage and look down on her predictable patrol route.

After checking on the movement of that demon below me, I jumped behind her from the rooftop. And I took her down in a stealth by pulling its core out.

When I got sure it was time to clean the gate of its corruption, I went for it and prayed at the archway. And then I found this bracelet inside the temple room, which granted me a helpful boost to my elemental stats.

I found this struck soul at the temple area lingering near the steps, who told me about two blocked wells that needed to be cleared of malice. The spirit wept softly, claiming his grandchildren can't drink water for this reason.

Thinking the wells were in that direction, I started running through that bamboo forest after checking on the haunting red moon. But then I realized I was going to the opposite direction after checking the map.

As I was going to the right direction through the dark streets, I noticed a Tengu that I used it to grapple up on a roof somewhere I could see the beautiful moon perfectly, and it made for a great capture.

We'll continue in another post.

Climbing onto the temple roof to get a vertical advantage over the last demon was a pro move. Watching her predictable patrol route from above made takedown easy.

I liked your dedication to helping the trapped spirit. Taking on a side quest to clear blocked wells so his grandchildren's spirits can find peace should add a lot of depth to your journey.
