After resurrecting at the Shibuya intersection, I pursued the Hannya member into the underground market. I battled headless male and female entities, transferred spirits via phone booths, and cleared a haunted arcade.
Finally, I used spectral vision to rescue spirits trapped inside a public washroom before continuing my exploration.
After dying last time, I was resurrected at the intersection and I didn't see the ghost parade anymore. I decided to head straight for the entrance of the underground instead.
After going down, I scanned the area and noticed a track of the Hannya I was after. Before following him, I absorbed some spirits lingering in the dark corners.
I continued following the tracks and noticed a phone booth on the way. I used it to transfer all the spirits I had been absorbing lately back to safety.
I went deep into the underground market and noticed students of misery in both male and female forms. Both variations were missing their heads, creating a truly unsettling sight.
I noticed the male forms were powerful and skilled at fighting. I kept my distance and took them down one by one, eventually destroying their cores with my elemental powers.
I moved through a darker area where I needed to use a torch for visibility. I found more Students of Misery there and took all of them down quickly.
I reached an arcade playground where all the consoles were still switched on. I wished I could try some arcade games there, but I didn't have the option.
I noticed a Paper Doll and a Rain Slasher guarding the area ahead. I took down the Paper Doll fast, but had to be careful with the aggressive Rain Slasher.
I found another phone booth and noticed a Rain Walker ahead. I used the booth first to transfer the spirits I had absorbed in the meantime before the fight.
I went for the Rain Walker, intending to take him down with a stealthy step. He suddenly turned around, so I had to switch tactics and engage with a melee attack.
I found a Paper Doll inside the washroom who was likely checking herself in the mirror, you know, women. I took her down real quick, clearing the room of her spectral presence.
With my spectral vision, I noticed spirits were nearby but hidden. I opened a stall door and found them stuck in a toilet, where I quickly absorbed them.

The underground market definitely had a darker and heavier atmosphere compared to the surface. Moments like this shows how much the environment can shape the entire experience.
Following the Hannya’s trail was perfect, while safely transferring spirits through phone booths shows smart resource management after that brutal arena defeat.
Managing spirits properly gave me more confidence going into the next encounter.
The headless male and female Students of Misery sound like horror. Keeping your distance from the stronger male variants and focusing on core destruction was the right tactical approach. Well played.
Those enemies really had a horror vibe, so keeping some distance felt like the safest option.
