I attempted to bypass locked security doors but was ambushed by Hiss soldiers. After discovering my keycard lacked sufficient clearance for the NSC Control Room, I navigated through a haunting red room to reach the Power Plant, where I met Chief Arish and agreed to fix the facility.

I decided to get to the ventilation area where some doors were left unlocked because I didn't have the higher security key. However, some Hiss soldiers ambushed me on my way, forcing me into a sudden and violent confrontation.

As far as I remember, I fought them before, and here I went fighting them again. They even managed to take me down once, so I had to try a third fight with them to finally clear the hallway.

Then I went to this NSC control room door that I thought I would be able to unlock this time since I had a level 2 security keycard. Unfortunately, this door needed even higher clearance, making my journey backward feel like it was for nothing.

I went back to the janitor's office and used his back door to get towards the NSC power plant. On my way, I went through a red room where I saw the disturbing shadow of the former director.

I had to use an elevator to get to the lower level of the maintenance sector. After navigating around for a moment, I reached the massive NSC power plant at last, hearing the hum of the machinery all around.

As soon as I saw some armed people there, I thought they would shoot me, but I understood they were not Hiss. They were real people protecting this place, and one suggested me to talk with Chief Arish in the security booth.

Then I found this control point that I claimed. With this secured, I upgraded my gears and abilities to better handle the growing threats within the Oldest House.

I was not sure where the security booth was, so I started exploring around the vast Department of Maintenance. I spent a long time searching through the pipes and industrial machinery that filled the area.

After exploring for a long time, I noticed the security booth was hidden in plain sight. I found Arish there, who explained the systems were failing; Jesse said she would take care of the water and electrical repairs herself.

Discovering actual survivors instead of enemies was a nice twist. I noticed you were even prepared for a fight there. That clearance issue must have been frustrating. I have a drone that I use to fry up door securities in MindsEye, lol.
The red room part looked very creepy, and the moment you realized the keycard was still not enough clearance must have hurt after all that effort.
Reaching the NSC Power Plant after so much searching must have felt rewarding. It was good to see real people instead of enemies for once. You made a smart move, upgrading your abilities before helping Chief Arish. Things are getting more serious inside the Oldest House.
Those red room shots are such iconic shots for the game. I do have it in my library too, in one of these days, I might try this one.
The haunting red room with the former director’s shadow was horrifying. It’s a strong turning point, where survival becomes responsibility. Jesse is stepping up to stabilize the facility herself.
Getting stopped by another clearance door must have been annoying after all that fighting. At least you finally met people who didn't try to shoot you, but all I find in Last of Us either shoot me or try to eat me, LOL.
I knew about this game but never thought it'd be this cool cause I never checked any gameplay video before checking yours. And now I see the coolness in the battle of this game. Using obstacles to throw on your enemy is something every gamer should want to try.
